Human-Centricity Is Not Optional

The European Commission has initiated a paradigm shift with Industry 5.0: technology should support people, not replace them. Sustainability, human-centricity, and resilience are no longer add-ons — they are prerequisites for the competitiveness of European companies.

This perspective aligns with what we observe in practice: technology projects rarely fail because of technology. They fail because people are not brought along.

Design Over Discipline

Research shows: 40 to 50 percent of our daily actions are habits — not conscious decisions. Willpower is fragile: stress, lack of sleep, and time pressure break discipline. What is visible, easy, and socially embedded gets repeated.

The consequence for technology projects: if a system requires daily motivation, the user is not the problem — the design is. Good systems make the right thing the default, not the exception.
